Terms of Service

By accessing or using RootBrief ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including free and paid subscribers.

RootBrief is a monitoring and alerting service for workflow automations and AI agent operations. The Service connects to your n8n server via a read-only API key and/or receives data from OpenClaw gateways and other sources via webhook to collect execution data, detect failures, surface cost anomalies, and send notifications.

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into contracts in your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials.
• You must notify us immediately at support@rootbrief.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
• One person may not maintain more than one free account.

• RootBrief offers subscription plans (Free, Pro, Pro Max, Business) billed monthly. Payments are processed through our payment provider.
• The Free plan is available permanently at no cost. Paid plans are billed monthly with no trial period required.
• Subscriptions renew automatically. You may cancel at any time through your account settings or by emailing support@rootbrief.com.
• Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial periods, except where required by law.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' advance notice to existing subscribers.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to access systems you do not own or have authorization to monitor.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service.
• Use automated scripts to abuse the Service or circumvent rate limits.
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service without prior written consent.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful data through the Service.

RootBrief connects to your n8n instance via a read-only API key. We collect only workflow metadata (names, execution statuses, error messages, timestamps). We do not access, store, or process the payload data within your workflows.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of RootBrief to monitor your n8n instance complies with any applicable data protection laws governing the data processed within your workflows.

The RootBrief platform, including its software, design, and documentation, is owned by RootBrief and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose.

You retain all rights to your data. By using the Service, you grant RootBrief a limited license to process your data solely to provide the Service.

We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice. We are not liable for losses resulting from service downtime, data loss, or service interruptions beyond our reasonable control.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ROOTBRIEF SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

RootBrief is a monitoring and alerting service. It is designed to surface potential issues including workflow failures, cost anomalies, and suspicious activity patterns. RootBrief does not guarantee detection of all threats, does not prevent or block security incidents, and does not protect against data loss, credential theft, or unauthorized access.

Detection coverage depends on scan intervals, webhook delivery reliability, third-party API availability, and the accuracy of threat intelligence data. Alert timing is not guaranteed and may vary based on system load and configuration.

Users are solely responsible for securing their own infrastructure, responding to alerts, and taking appropriate remedial action. RootBrief shall not be held liable for any damages, losses, or costs resulting from undetected incidents, delayed alerts, false negatives, or false positives.

RootBrief's threat intelligence checks, including skill reputation data and known vulnerability patterns, are maintained on a best-effort basis and may not reflect the most current threat landscape at all times.

All incident simulations, example alerts, and scenario descriptions shown on the RootBrief website and dashboard are illustrative and do not represent guarantees of detection speed, accuracy, or coverage.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RootBrief and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or any applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your access to the Service ceases. Your data will be retained for 30 days and then deleted, unless legally required otherwise. You may request a data export within this period.

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration or a court of competent jurisdiction.
